Confession time! I am not the greatest Toki Tori 2+ player at Two Tribes!

I find some sections to be pretty difficult, so I asked around for some tips and decided share it with you!

My tips are below, and if you think more should be added to the list, please email me!

Tip 1: Observe!

Because no one tells you what to do, observe your surroundings carefully! Us gamers tend to ignore things because we want to reach our goal as soon as possible, but in Toki Tori 2+ it’s a must to pay attention. Many things are subtly explained inside the game world. So observe your surroundings as it will help you progress and perhaps even find a shortcut or two.

Tip 2: Befriend Tutu!

Tutu is the bird you will meet at the beginning of the game. Don’t ignore Tutu but befriend him. In fact Tutu is the bird you can always count on in Toki Tori 2+. He will guide you through the world and learn you useful and cool things!

Tip 3: Remember and use what you’ve learned!

You can actually open up every path in Toki Tori 2+ right from the beginning, the only thing you might lack is the knowledge to do so. As you wander through the world and gain more knowledge of how everything works and how the creatures interact with you, don’t forget to put this knowledge to good use! Just running around like a headless chicken won’t get you very far!

Tip 4: The rewind song

Stuck? Made a mistake? Want to go back? Simply use the rewind song! This is the song you will probably use the most in Toki Tori 2+, so remember that tune! Did you know that you can use the rewind song multiple times in a row to go back to earlier checkpoints? Now you do :)

Tip 5: The world map

Here’s some info on the world map, which you will be relying on a lot in Toki Tori 2+.

First, while Toki Tori 2+ is a 2D game, all levels are arranged behind each other. Traveling through the end of level gates moves you deeper or less deep into the game world. You can see this by watching Toki Tori’s animation as he walks into a gate.

Second, the yellow feathers which will appear on your map are the paths that you’ve already walked over. So if you don’t know where to go, always try to find a gate which leads to a path that isn’t filled with yellow feathers yet.

Third and last, certain events will trigger icons on the world map. Make sure you keep an eye out for any changes each time you view it.

Tip 6: Not to know what to do anymore? Ask the community!

If you are at a point that you really don’t know what to do anymore, head over to Miiverse (Wii U) or the Community Hub (Steam) and simply ask for help! Because Toki Tori 2+ design is so open, everyone’s experience is slightly different. Fortunately, there are a lot of players who are willing to help you out! Don’t forget to attach a screenshot when asking for help!
